WELCOME TO WJH LAB

Won Jin Ho, MD
Immuno-Oncology Lab

WJH Lab strives to develop innovative strategies to utilize the immune system to attack cancers. By learning about the features within the tumor surroundings, we aim to discover novel targetable vulnerabilities. We focus on hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, which remain highly lethal.

RESEARCH

Primary Areas of Interest

TRANSLATIONAL STUDIES

We implement state-of-the-art technologies to broadly and deeply profile the immunologic features of patient samples as part of clinical trials. This allows us to understand how a treatment modulates the immune system.

TARGETING PTPN22 TO TREAT CANCERS

We investigate the feasibility of targeting PTPN22 to enhance anticancer immune responses. We seek to understand the mechanisms by which PTPN22 influences the immune system.

METHODS DEVELOPMENT

New methodologies lead to answers to questions we could not address in the past. We seek to advance the tools with which we study cancer immunity.
