WELCOME TO WJH LAB

Won Jin Ho, MD
Immuno-Oncology Lab

The WJH laboratory is focused on exploring the potential of cancer immunotherapy as a treatment for cancer. We are dedicated to understanding how the immune system can be harnessed to fight cancer and to developing new and effective ways to do so.

Our collaborative team of researchers come from a range of backgrounds, including immunology, cancer biology, bioinformatics, and medical oncology. We are excited to work with graduate students and to train the next generation of researchers in the field of cancer immunotherapy.

We are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and resources, including cutting-edge imaging and molecular biology tools, to help us investigate the mechanisms underlying cancer immunotherapy and to develop new therapeutic strategies. We are passionate about advancing the field of cancer immunotherapy and making important contributions to the fight against cancer. We focus on hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, which remain highly lethal.

RESEARCH

Primary Areas of Interest

TRANSLATIONAL STUDIES

We implement state-of-the-art technologies to broadly and deeply profile the immunologic features of patient samples as part of clinical trials. This allows us to understand how a treatment modulates the immune system.

TARGETING PTPN22 TO TREAT CANCERS

We investigate the feasibility of targeting PTPN22 to enhance anticancer immune responses. We seek to understand the mechanisms by which PTPN22 influences the immune system.

METHODS DEVELOPMENT

New methodologies lead to answers to questions we could not address in the past. We seek to advance the tools with which we study cancer immunity.

News!
